General Questions

Medicare will not reimburse for non-emergency transportation. They will only pay for a medically necessary transport in an ambulance usually in an emergency situation.

You'll need to contact your insurance provider's customer service department and/or case management department to assess your benefits for Non-Emergency Medical Transport coverage. You may also have the case manager or the provider relations department contact us at 858-405-7290 to inquire about arranging your transport

We are a non-emergency service and will try to dispatch your call ASAP. We suggest you make reservations as early as you can to assure timely service.

There is no specific requirement, although we recommend 1-3 days in advance. If you require longer hours or multiple vehicles, best to give us a bit more notice than usual so we can do everything we can to accommodate your travel needs. While we can respond to your ASAP request, please understand that we’re not like a cab service nor are we a network of app-based subcontractors. For the best Royal Medical Transport experience, a little notice goes a long way.

All of our vans are equipped with a wheelchair for your use if needed.

Of course, one person can ride along at no additional charge.

Specific Questions

Yes, we do random drug testing on all of our safe and qualified drivers.

Yes, our drivers physically take them in and make sure the receptionist knows they are their and gives them a card to call us when their appointment is finished before departing.

Our regular hours of operation are 5:00 am – 8:00 pm. If you have after hour needs please call the office for assistance. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 6:00 pm. After hour phone: 858-245-3136

Yes, we are happy to work with you on long distance travel. Contact us for a quote.

You can fill out either form. Both forms come to us and we contact you from either. Usually people who fill out the contact us form just want general information while people who fill out the get a quote form want to know a price for services. But filling out either form is your preference.
